1 Million Dollar Jury Verdict Won In The “Choctaw-Cardinal” Bus Crash


Haslam & Gallagher won a 1 million dollar jury verdict for a husband and wife that were injured in the “Choctaw-Cardinal” Bus crash on George Bush Freeway on April, 2013.

The case was tried the week of March 6, 2017 in Tarrant County, Texas. Mr. Cassillo was compensated $800,000 for his neck injury and his wife was compensated 130,000 for her loss of consortium and bruises.

The jury found the driver of the Bus, Loyd Reive, grossly negligent. The jury was unanimous in its verdict on the gross negligence and $200,000 in punitive damages. Two of the jurors wanted to find higher actual damages than the other ten jurors.
